You know when you wake up in the morning, and then you realize...
that you have, perhaps, done something embarrassing the day before? Perhaps even shameful? Like, you'd want to hide yourself and never again greet the world?

:dilemma:

18. Always follow my advice
If you had gone to the bar you'd would've been too distracted to do whatever it is you wish you hadn't done

My current advice is to PM me details of what happened so I can tell you how to solve the problem.

99 bottles of beer on the wall, try not to think about it and have some coffee instead, 99 bottles of beer on the wall"

What they sing on an A.A. field trip.
Heard that on one of the XM comedy channels.

24. If I worried about that too much I wouldn't get anything done.
I can always manage to do embarrassing or shameful things, intentionally or not. But when I try too hard not to, I end up accomplishing nothing.

I'm past the good old college drink-until-you-puke sorts of things, but I've concluded there are always other sorts of embarrassments waiting in the wings for their debut performance in front of a standing room only crowd.

27. Here's one of mine from a long time ago, presented as advice...
Never tell a professor what you really think of his subject on the final exam essay, just because you figure the class is over and it's obvious you know the subject, no matter how much you loathe it.

He'll give you an "F." And when you shuffle into his office on your knees begging him to change your grade because it's clear that you knew your stuff, that life's not fair, etc., etc., he will take that opportunity to torture you like a cat with a mouse and tell you what a jerk you are, and how he's not the only professor who thinks you are some kind of eidetic idiot with a personality disorder.

Hmmmmmm. When do I start to feel cured?

52. Well considering he'd pretty much figured me out...
... he was pretty nice about it, and he changed my grade too.

:woohoo:

The essay was among my all time hit parade of offensive, insensitive, and otherwise inappropriate writings.

And the really scary thing is that I've been on the internet for a long time... Lot's of stuff in my closet I'm sure. There are words and names I don't dare type into search engines for fear of what might turn up.

in the crosswalk with your bumper after spending a couple hours getting wasted in the bar trying to calm your nerves over the fact that the fourteen year old you were having an affair with just texted you that she's going to tell her parents and you can't find her anywhere and even though the old lady probably wasnt long for the world you still feel pretty bad on top of the fact that you just know someone had to have gotten your license plate?
