1. Mostly grackles, the greedy bastards.
But down here it's all about the mockingbirds. We also have lots of doves, some blue jays and the odd cardinal or two. Plus some little wren things.

2. in South Carolina
last night we had 7. I throw the seed on the ground. We had 2 quails, 2 cardinals, 2 that were black on top and tan on their belly, and a robin. The only obnoxious one is the male cardinal; he will often jump at the others to run them off.

3. Squirrels
Lately there's been a gang of cardinals to give 'em guff and eat some seeds.

6. Rats.
And some furry rodent thing I haven't identified yet. Maybe some kind of harvest or jumping mouse? It's not a house mouse or any kind of rat I know. Something about it reminds me of a kangaroo rat, but it's not.

No squirrels in our bird feeder, maybe because our dogs are ferrociously anti-squirrel, or maybe because squirrels are easy targets for the hawks when they are on the feeder. Our bird feeder is a fast food place for hawks.

We have occasional herons of various sorts too. They are not after the birds at the feeder, they are attracted by our ponds. Goldfish in the ponds don't have a chance, but mosquito fish do just fine. The herons also go into the trees and onto the roof and eat baby birds out of their nests.

also ducks and geese. I would LOVE seeing hawks.\\

There used to be kestrals on my girlfriends property , but they sold it and it is now a stupid golf course and homes for the wealthy

no kestrals, no wildflowers , no wild plum tree
