Ahhhh, time to relax...How was your day?
Spent all morning in classes, came home, got right on Friday's homework, finished it, went to the store, cleaned the house, emailed financial aid, and now I'm chillin om porch with a drink, basking in the 85 deg. heat...Ahhhhh. Now, to wait for Sniffa to return home.

How are y'all? :hi:

1. My BIL fucked me over...
I was going to help him pull some wire and install breakers/outlets at a house. It was at a ex-girlfriends house... The ex is good friends with my sister.. I think they didn't realize that I knew I would be working on her house. Oh, hey, you want me to pull wire at her house. I walked off to catch the bus home.

She told this guy one night at the bar that she would fuck him if he beat me up. 10 years after we broke up.. Still pisses me off that my sister still talks to her.

Now I've got my last homework of the semester to finish up once he goes to his Dad's house for the night, and then tomorrow's my last day of classes. :)

8. My last final isn't until the 24th.
Then I have a bit over a week off before summer classes. One of my finals is optional though, I should know tomorrow if I need it for my A or if I only have to show up for two of them.

38. I lurve camping!
I hope you and Sniffa do get to go! We've gone twice this spring, and I hope we can go once more before it gets too hot. We've been taking our pop-up and our dogs (a ylw. lab and our puggy) to a state park with lakeside sites, 2 hours to the north of us. It's crowded, but at night it's surreal, everyone puts out christmas lights, hurricane lanterns, and of course, campfires. It's like a little village...

We also tent camp...we usually go on an annual trip with 4-5 other couples and their kids up in western NC (where Eric R. Rudolph was caught). The kids fish and wade in the creek. The adults sneak off into the woods for bumps off the ol' bong.

6. I'm in a bitchy mood...
I had a great time last night at the Weird Al concert, but today is just pissing me off. Between * and stupid people, and annoying people, and the crack in my windshield, and my best friend bugging me to come visit her when I don't have a lot of time, and being stuck at this stupid job for another day... :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

Then the squishiness. But the tude of the techician is what always gets me. They all act over happy--like your a potential walking cancer cell until you get the results so. Then they usually don't tell you right away OR they call you back to take another set. Fuckers.

39. You're kidding, right?
If not...

Ok, imagine this...I have 38D breasts...Large. Imagine taking said breast and laying it on a cold plate of some hard substance, and then having an identical plate lower down to squeeze your breast until it compresses it (full of nerve endings, btw) to a height of about 1- 1.5 inches. Um...fucking ow. x(

If you were kidding, no worries :)

28. 3 more days to my birthday
Edited on Wed May-09-07 05:06 PM by mvd
And the franchise I want to buy just called saying they are sending an agreement form. Should be up and running by June!

I also took a walk and made a couple lists:

Here some Idol CDs, ranked best to worst -

1. Kelly Clarkson - Breakaway (A-)
2. Kimberley Locke - Based On A True Story (B+)
3. Taylor Hicks - self-titled (B+)
4. Carrie Underwood - Some Hearts (B)
5. Katharine McPhee - self-titled ( B- )
6. Paris Bennett - Princess P ( B- )
7. Kellie Pickler - Small Town Girl (C+)
8. Fantasia - self-titled (C+)
9. Bucky Covington - self-titled (C+)
10. Daughtry - self-titled (C)
11. Elliott Yamin - self-titled (C)
12. Bo Bice - The Real Thing (C-)
13. Ruben Studdard - The Return (C-)
14. Clay Aiken - A Thousand Different Ways (C-)
15. Diana DeGarmo - Blue Skies (D)
16. Justin Guarini - self-titled (F)

Philly mayoral candidates from best to worst -

1. Brady (really Philly to the core, and will not abandon unions)
2. Nutter (practically tied with Brady - I'm just not sure about his tax plan and policing strategy)
3. Evans (good except for his answer about Vallas in the 6 ABC debate)
4. Knox (he strikes me as a major risk - I'm afraid he's a phony)
5. Fattah (he just seems the most Street-like to me)

I listened to some samples from artists, too:

Thumbs-up to
------------

Travis's The Boy With No Name

New Years Day (Ashley's voice and the change of rhythm sets them apart - and she's quite pretty. I plan on buying this one and maybe Paramore's new one, which will likely be in a similar style. Paramore was just good on their debut, but they have a lot of potential to be better)

The Clientele (they sound like a modern-day Bee Gees to me! The Bee Gees' classic rock period a lot more than their disco period)

Wire Daisies (higher priced because it's an import, but a varied rock album)

Fields

Thumbs-down to
--------------

Charlotte Gainsbourg (her CD 5:55 sounds like it starts out well, but then gets too airy (no pun intended since Air is involved)

Bjork's latest

Black Rebel Motorcycle Club's Baby 81

CocoRosie's latest

The Field

Mixed opinion
-------------

Low

Feist's The Reminder (actually good, but it's uneven)

Got up, yelled at my father for also being up when nobody else in my house gets up until about 8 AM, went to school, fell asleep first period over Elizabeth Barrett Browning's sickly sweet "Sonnet 43" ("How do I love thee? Let me count the ways" :puke:) and Robert Browning's "My Last Duchess," did the rest of school, came home, couldn't do what I wanted to because my grandmother was over here working for my father, fumed some, locked myself in my room for two hours, took a shower, fed the cats, got on the computer.

Buzzedd around on-line while I had my coffee, read a chapter from Kinzer's "Overthrow", fell asleep for three hours on the couch, woke up with that "mole-people" feeling, got out and watered the veggies to break the spell...not a bad day. Cooler than yesterday (mid 80's).

48. I had a great and busy day
slept in with the boyfriend, had a light breakfast of fresh fruit and yogurt, then went to the gym, then to the florist to discuss arrangements for an event I have this coming weekend. A few phone calls followed by lunch at Christina's with a few friends. Then ran a few errands, held a 230pm conference call with my assistant, etc., then went to the Galleria to pick up a friend's birthday gift from Tiffany's. Afterwards, I called to confirm my flight plans for tomorrow while driving to meet a few friend's for a quick drink. Had a margarita and then left for home. Checked my mail, grabbed my UPS shipments, and here I am.

Now I'm just waiting for my boyfriend to come home with our Sushi from Osaka and then we'll have a nice quiet evening of reading, internet surfing, and packing.

51. My day...
let's see, work-bullshit there, therapy group- very energizing but freaky too, son's soccer- assistant coach at what is the last game of the season since it was the semi-finals of the tournament and we lost :( but at least we lost to an excellent team and I suspect that they will be the champions of the league.

Now home, ate, checked email, replied to some, checked DU, and replied to a couple of PM's. Now looking at the posts and replying to threads that sound interesting. Then will hang out, prolly hit the rack earlier tonight as I am especially worn out right now.

Chill with yo drink and enjoy your evening!

52. sigh
Not bad ... just ... not EXCELLENT.

Woke up in the AM for work. I HATE mornings. Really, truly on a despise level, HATE mornings. No morning is a GOOD morning. x(

Found out the cat pissed all over when I noticed my bath towel didn't ... quite ... smell right while drying off. :puke:

Got to work ... mostly on time. :D

Dug immediately into trying to make a (mostly Linux) program compile from source on FreeBSD. I've been trying to get this going for a couple of weeks, and can't even get it to install. I thought I had some new ideas about what was going on and was determined to make it work. 8.5 hours and no lunch later ... I gave up and came home. :banghead: x( :( :dunce:

Took a bike ride to the cemetery, trying to up my endurance enough to be able to start riding to work. Ummm ... in my mind I may still be 15 years old, but my body says "Haha Biatch! More than half your life as a smoker, an almost completely sedentary lifestyle, fibromyalgia and asthma = U R pwn3d!! <---- that's not what you think. it's me writhing in pain and crying.

Now? DU. Barely.
