6. Don't serve wine from the yellow ones
They probably have uranium salts in the glaze, like the orange Fiesta Ware.

Does that apply to modern Fiesta Ware too?

19. Modern orange Fiesta Ware is safe but I can't give you a date
Do a Web search for "orange Fiesta Ware uranium" or similar and a lot of various sources come up. I think the only way to be sure is to take a survey meter (e.g. Geiger counter) to it. I've done that with old orange Fiesta and other pottery. If it's uranium glaze you won't have any problem detecting alpha and beta particles. In the case of my friend's Fiesta plates I could detect gamma rays from three feet away through his closed kitchen cabinets.

Either I have been missing your posts or you have been gone, have not seen you for a while. How's the orchestra? :hi:

12. Hi MuseRider!
I've been pretty busy lately. My husband had to have disc surgery right after Thanksgiving, so I've had extra stuff to do around here.

The orchestra's fine...We're performing Danielpour "Vox Populi", Theofanidis "Rainbow Body", and Brahms Piano Concerto #2 at the end of February. Should be fun!

How about you? Is your orchestra surviving the repiglican blitz?

13. That sounds like a fun concert! I love Brahms.
This concert is an easy one for me so I am kicking back on this one. We are surviving, barely. My conductors other orchestra is cutting way back next year with only one concert with the full orchestra. I am very worried we will not make it next year. It would be a shame after almost 60 years to be shut down but nobody has any extra scratch and the corporations no longer feel like sharing. Yours doing OK?

15. Barely keeping our heads above water...
But so far, ok.

Most of the groups in the area have cut schedules. Choral groups have cut back on the number of concerts with orchestra, and started hiring fewer musicians to accompany. We'll see if wealthy repiglicans hire live musicians for their obscenely lavish social affairs this summer.

I've never seen it before. I love antiquities and glass especially.

When I come into some $$ again, I might be interested in buying again.
