What's the weirdest explanation you've heard for Bush*'s facial scratch?

The first I heard of it was an American friend e-mailing me with, "I didn't see it on him BEFORE his meeting with the Canadian Prime Minister!"

Personally I think it makes him look rakish. (That is, as if he stepped on a garden rake.)

I saw the video on Jon Stewart's Daily Show. He was with a soccer team and dropped the dog on video. A real winner, that one.
