Dial up warning. Photo essay. Desert Color and stuff

Saguaro blossoms in the desert

Zooming in they take shape

There are insects here in the desert

The buds are quite luscious before blooming

Cholla are beautiful from a safe distance

The color of the desert is in contrast to the spiny branches that support the blossoms and fruit

Unfortunately, there are desecration machines at the ready

And some people should be prohibited from possessing firearms

:hi:

Shade time for me

1. Great pics!
I can't say I adore cactii, but these are beautiful shots.

I like to show the color of the desert,
and yes, that thermometer is accurate.

Spring is just a memory.

4. There's a certain beauty of the desert.
I just think any plants with thorns (including roses) are screaming at us: "Go away!"

It hit 27° Celsius the last days here; plenty hot, and it's not even summer yet. But I think I have to post my garden thread now ...

Sad, they keep building in the desert though.

6. The secret's out - the desert is nice to live in.
The inertia of population growth continues.

We import water.

8. I think it is a honey bee.
If you know where to look, you will find marvelous color.

The best months to visit Tucson are April and October, for future reference.

I would love to share a jukebox with you sometime, Wildhorses.
