Watch me play a tune on bass and take a stand
I have been playing bass for youtube videos for a little over a month, now, and everyone I have met and every conversation so far has been very nice and confined to music largely. I've been doing Primus, Rush, Iron Maiden, 311 and the like for videos, and have had great responses and a couple of subscribers, even.

But I wanted to play a Rage Against the Machine tune. Now for those DUers who are familiar with the band, you can understand how I did not wish to simply play the tune and be done with it like all of the other band. This is Rage Against the Machine, after all...home of the Angry Prophet, Zach de la Rocha. So I added a little extra bit at the end.....something DUers would appreciate, if not the general public.

But I feel like I am sticking my neck out to the friends I have made on youtube by doing this. Strange how today's politics can make one somewhat afraid to take a stand on a political position. I am bracing for the loss of subscribers and a bit of angry mail.

Anyways, here is the tune....."Bullet in Your Head". The tune refers to people being brain-dead because of propaganda.

1. Wow, I don't know much about this kind of music
Suddenly I feel very old...but it looks to me like you're really good!

2. Im 36 and almost missed this band when they came out.
They were around in the mid 1990's. Heavily influenced by the anti-globalism movement. Even though they use a rap type of delivery, the music is incredible and the subject matter the highest level of social commentary.

BULLET IN THE HEAD
This time the bullet cold rocked ya
A yellow ribbon instead of a swastika
Nothin' proper about ya propaganda
Fools follow rules when the set commands ya
Said it was blue
When ya blood was read
That's how ya got a bullet blasted through ya head

Blasted through ya head
Blasted through ya head

I give a shout out to the living dead
Who stood and watched as the feds cold centralized
So serene on the screen
You were mesmerised
Cellular phones soundin' a death tone
Corporations cold
Turn ya to stone before ya realise
They load the clip in omnicolour
Said they pack the 9, they fire it at prime time
Sleeping gas, every home was like Alcatraz
And mutha fuckas lost their minds

Just victims of the in-house drive-by
They say jump, you say how high
Just victims of the in-house drive-by
They say jump, you say how high

Run it!

Just victims of the in-house drive-by
They say jump, you say how high
Just victims of the in-house drive-by
They say jump, you say how high

Checka, checka, check it out
They load the clip in omnicolour
Said they pack the 9, they fire it at prime time
Sleeping gas, every home was like Alcatraz
And mutha fuckas lost their minds

No escape from the mass mind rape
Play it again jack and then rewind the tape
And then play it again and again and again
Until ya mind is locked in
Believin' all the lies that they're tellin' ya
Buyin' all the products that they're sellin' ya
They say jump and ya say how high
Ya brain-dead
Ya gotta fuckin' bullet in ya head

Just victims of the in-house drive-by
They say jump, you say how high
Just victims of the in-house drive-by
They say jump, you say how high

Uggh! Yeah! Yea!

Ya standin' in line
Believin' the lies
Ya bowin' down to the flag
Ya gotta bullet in ya head

Ya standin' in line
Believin' the lies
Ya bowin' down to the flag
Ya gotta bullet in ya head

A bullet in ya head
A bullet in ya head
A bullet in ya head
A bullet in ya head
A bullet in ya head
A bullet in ya head
A bullet in ya head
A bullet in ya head
A bullet in ya head!
A bullet in ya head!
A bullet in ya head!
A bullet in ya head!
A bullet in ya head!
A bullet in ya head!
A bullet in ya head!
Ya gotta bullet in ya fuckin' head!

Yeah!

Yeah!
