6. Frankie -
is so much better! He went through all his abx and is healthy now. He's still a puppy, though - a couple of months shy of his first birthday - and he still has some training issues. Our catbox is in the powder room on the main floor, and Frankie seems to think that if DINO can use that bathroom, FRANKIE can too. Except Frankie obviously does not use the litter box. He's "made" on the bathroom floor three times.

He's quite a good dog, though, and he really wants to please. He also loves "guarding" me. :)

25. I've lived in Dinosaur, Rangely, Grand Junction, Rifle, Durango...


All places on the western slope. Spent a lot of time in Telluride, Steamboat Springs, Denver...I miss it a lot.

I live in SLC and I'd miss the mountains if I left. Not only are they beautiful, but they keep me oriented. When I visit other areas, I lose my sense of direction easily. Maybe that sounds weird, but when you have a directional reference as large as the wasatch (and Oquirrh to the west), you get used to using it.

101. I used to live in Utah, also. I lived for a spell in Laketown,


(right on Bear Lake), lived in Vernal for awhile, and lived out of a hotel in Manila, by Flaming Gorge for a couple of months. Spent a couple of very wild weeks in Moab. My friend knew the owner of a bar in Moab, and the guy would never allow us to pay for any drinks. We'd come in every night, the owner would come to our table with a half-gallon of Jim Beam. Bad craziness!

Yeah, I miss the mountains and a lot of the people I met.

through some of her favorite country, which is the redwoods in Northern California and Southern Oregon. She has a pretty high-stress job, but we had been out long enough that she had relaxed and was really enjoying herself. I think that's why I like the picture so much.

I really liked your turtle picture. We kept mud turtles as pets in the backyard pond when I was a kid. I used to go out in the evening and bang on a can of dog food and they would come "running" and eat spoonfulls of it out of my hand. They live a loooong time...

A star is born...he would be so proud to know he is on the internet :)



This is the duck pond at the SC Botanical Gardens on the campus of Clemson University, just below that fence in the background is an old homestead with cabin and all the various out buildings that they relocated from another property. They do lots of nature based sculpture there, here is a link about it and one of the scuptures

that did come out weird, didn't it. I mean the other site is about heavier topics that require deep thought and I am not up to it, lol. I may have to break down and go to the doctor. Thanks for asking, it's good to see you as well. Man I have to post this pic of this sculpture, I used to go sit in this for hours, it is a little round man-made cave with a hole in the top so light can come in and water is in a little pool in the floor, it's like a sweat lodge or a meditation building. :hi:

Oregon; so we get there at least a couple times a year.

I put up the iron pole after I took that front of house picture. It is between the roses and the azaleas right in front of the other hanging feeder. I can see them all from right here at my desk. :)

99. I took my Boston Terrier puppy to my nephew's birthday party.
All dogs had to stay outside when the kiddies went in for cake and presents. Tiki snuck in once and was ordered out. I'm just learning about Bostons, but one thing rings true, they have a front row ticket for everything that goes on and they HATE to be left out. He found a way to see what was going on without - technically - coming in the house. He's used to very friendly receptions so I'm sure he was thinking that someone had made a terrible mistake and that he'd be welcome inside with open arms if he just persevered.
