Moody Cat
Otis if 4 and very moody. He's not sick; he's always been a moody cat. He is usually an everyday tomcat, sleeping most of the time. He's affectionate early in the morning, and a real homebody at night, curled up on the chair next to the desk.

But I never know who he's going to be during the day. Sometimes he acts like a grumpy old man, expressing disapproval, "Things have sure gone downhill around here!" This afternoon he was doing his helpless waif thing, sitting there looking up at me with an occasional forlorn meow, "Daddy, I'm so afraid." Sometimes he'll give me a swat and demand I play with him. At other times he is so indifferent to me he won't even look up.
