I just gave my three cats their monthly "advantage"....
They hate it so much! I'll give one of them the dose and that cat will run around the house like a demon for a few minutes. Then the next one, then the next one.... Then they'll all give me the silent treatment for a day or so. They're indoor/outdoor cats, so there's no way they can do without it in the summer. And I don't want bugs in my bed!

Do all cats hate it this much?

1. Trin gets over it in an hour or so, but she hates it too.
I think of it a bit like kids and medicine/homework/broccoli/bike helmets/whatever. We're the grownups, and sometimes we have to insist on things that they don't like because we see the big picture and they don't.

2. Last time I put it on Lucy, she didn't even flinch
Maybe she made the connection — gunk on the back of the neck means no more fleas.

Another time, though, she was not a cappy hamper:

3. One of mine does that
runs around the house like a nut. I have to sneak up on her...I swear she can hear me click the top at a thousand yards. The other two don't like it, but after ignoring me about an hour, they are back to normal.

4. My two guys hate it.

They are also indoor/outdoor cats so
I let them go outside immediately after
putting it on them.

They settle down after an hour or so
and come back in.

;-)

7. Yup
and our two seem to know when it's coming, too...approach them just about anytime to be picked up and they're cool with it (for varying lengths of time) but let me approach them like normal, with Kim holding the "advantage" syringe in the other room, and they immediately make a break for the door...I don't know how they pick up on that.
