Have you had a Half.com order canceled after purchase before?
I bought a used textbook at a really great price from a used book store that sells through them last week and got an automated email from half.com this morning letting me know that my order was canceled by the seller because the item was no longer available for sale.

I had planned to order some more textbooks through them that I'll be needing for the fall semester, but if this is something that happens frequently I think I'll order through another site. So has it happened to you? Is there another source of used books you've had good luck with?

1. Yes.
It may not be common, but it happened to me twice. People should not be offering items for sale, if they are not available.

Amazon has been better for me, in that regard.

4. I've had good luck with them in the past.
I think I'll look there first for my fall books. Thanks!

3. Looks like they only sell to students whose schools contract with them.
Mine isn't one of them. :(

6. No problem.
A good lead is still a great help, even if it doesn't pan out.
