1. Yes. That's one of the dynamics of a good story: tension.

2. Not really.
Speaking mythologically: I think the snake, a symbol of wisdom in classical times, told Eve the truth. Eating the apple would give A&E god-like understanding. Suddenly having such understanding meant that they could see that Eden was not what it was advertised to be. Or God was so pissed off that Eve sought a second opinion that eventually proved God a liar that He had a hissy-fit and kicked them out like a psychotic parent who disowns a child over a minor offense.

Speaking factually: There was no Eve, no Adam, no snake, no garden and no God anyway. The question, therefore, is irrelevent.

7. Tigris and Euphrates rivers

Google "Garden of Eden" or add "map" to that and hit images-the Garden of Eden as described in the Bible is generally considered to be what is today known as Iraq.

19. Nope. She did it intentionally.
Adam annoyed the hell out of her - leaving the toilet seat up, never picking up the garden, etc - and so she did this as retribution. As is the case with nearly all of these retribution ideas, she didn't realize it would go terribly wrong and that she'd get fucked over too.

20. The Bible Deciders set Eve up
(The Ecumenical Councils)

All a ploy to diminish women and create a patriarchal hierarchy to scare the bejeezus out of and hold political sway over the illiterate masses.

And that, folks, is fact. ;)
