Lounge ladies and gents..what do you do to pamper yourself?
I really believe that most of us are fairly unkind to ourselves. We focus more on our jobs, our families, our partners, and neglect ourselves. So I want to know...what do you do, to take care of YOU. Do you ever take time just for you? Do you have a private candy stash? Take private walks or bubble baths?

OR what couldyou do, to take care of YOU.

I like to get up way before the kids and enjoy a cup of tea while I write in my journal. Sometimes I meditate or I paint my nails. It's my chance to center myself and be just "me", before a busy day of being mommy and wife. How about you?

4. I read books. Stuff like Koontz.
I have to read so much non-fiction during the semesters, that when I have time off, I read fiction--stuff like suspense and true crime. I just finished Odd Thomas and I'm about to start Velocity. Got about five hardback, mint-condition Koontz books at a yard sale several weeks ago--for fifty CENTS each. :woohoo: I love bargains. :)

As far as my body, I get a pedicure and a hair-cut when I'm needing a self-esteem boost. :)

29. The "back-road boogy"
Get in car with a buddy driving. Sip beers riding shotgun as we drive all over on the back-roads - trying to stay on dirt roads as much as possible. This goes on for hours and hours. Along the way, we pop in on friends that live in the middle of nowhere. All the time taking in the beautiful sights.

An example, this is overlooking my Dad's property. The house is to the right of picture, but this is one of my favorite views.

:)

34. Loud music.
These days usually Blind Melon's 'Nico', or Queen's Greatest Hits, though right now it is Opeth's 'Blackwater Park'.

Loud freaking music, a good cup of coffee, and either DU or a book. My mum just sent me 3 new books for my birthday that I need to get started on. :D

If my bathtub wasn't so small, it would be loud music and a hot bath with lavender oil!

40. My whole life is a pamper fest.

Seriously, I treat myself very well. I live alone & don't work so I pretty much do what I want, when I want.

The most pampering is the days I go shopping & out to eat while someone else is cleaning my house.

49. I do a few things...
:hi: On the weekends, I get up around my usual time (sometimes later) and fix coffee and catch up on things on the 'net. My husband is usually still asleep then, and I just take it easy in my bathrobe before anyone else is up.

Also, twice a week, I do a facial mask and have 30 minutes of "me" time. It helps me unwind from work stresses and home stresses. :)

I try to take care of my physical well-being by working out and taking fitness walks. When I get home from exercising, I enjoy a long, warm shower. It helps me regroup. :)

I love pampering myself and have cosmetics, lotions, potions, and bath products galore. :)
