You are going to LOVE this.
I got myself locked in the lavatory at Derby railway station when I dashed off for an emergency you-know-what. The cleaner locked the door while I was sat on the toilet. I nearly missed my train. (Fortunately it was late). I had to call the police to contact the station management to let me out.

How embarrassing.

That's why we connect so well. I was once locked in the bathroom of Tweetsie Railroad when I was a little girl. It was horrid. :loveya:

That's awful. Incarceration was my greatest fear when I was a child.

But when you're an adult it's just plain embarrassing.

12. It was pretty good besides.
I saw my mum and hung with my brother lots. We went out and played pool Saturday, with a satisfying 3-2 scoreline. (I won).

I missed you.

14. I missed you too.
 We played volleyball and baseball and I only fell over and made a complete ass out of myself three times. :D The worst thing I did was getting tagged out at third and then, the way we were playing with the small group of family was the person out took over playing the base. I was then the third baseman. The next batter hit a line drive and I ran home...forgetting I wasn't a baserunner. This is why I watch baseball and rarely play.

19. Derby, Connecticut?
I used to live in Derby, on Roosevelt Drive. My brother lives across the river in Shelton, and my great-aunt lives in Shelton over by Sikorsky Aircraft.

Never had to take the train from there, though.

Look on the bright side. At least you didn't run out of toilet paper!

Derby, CT, is a bit of a scuzzy place! :-)

So I take it the TP situation in Derbyshire was nominal, then?

26. Awww,
When I was working at an equine hospital, I got called in to do post-op monitoring (so everyone else could go home and get some sleep, it was an 8 hour overnight surgery) on an emergency colic surgery horse and, oh yeah, please clean the operating room while I was there. The operating rooms were big padded rooms (walls, floor, doors) with a hydraulic lift table and doors that latch from the outside so recovering horses can stumble around when waking up without hurting themselves or other people. I'm hosing the damn room down and manage to get the hose caught on the door, pulling it closed and sinking the latch into the floor (big metal rod and big hole in the floor). It took me about 2 hours to swing the hose just right through the viewing window (which was above my head, I'm 5 feet tall) to catch on the hook end of the latch so I could get myself out of there. I'd left my cell phone on the table in the hallway so it wouldn't get soaked.

Also, just think, I regularly shut my own head in car doors. There's not a whole lot more embarrassing than that.

Can't be too rude though, I lived in Derbyshire for 7 years, which is about 1/3 of my life.

Thank goodness you're out safely.
