Outgrowths on a dog's neck (wonder if you know the problem)
Our Aussie Shepherd has a "growth" between her neck but closer to her chest. It is the size of an egg, and it feels, forgive me, like a teste on a human male. We didn't notice this until this evening. She's still spry, drinking normally, and still eating. Eyes still lucid, and her atty good. The growth has her white hair, but it is definitely not a hair knot. Anyone have this experience on their pooch and was it a growth that needed draining or...?

Thanks very much for any comments, even prayers or thoughts. Syd is 11 years old and she gets riled whenever Bush says we need more troops or blank checks when she advocates for the war to come to an end and for us to leave.

1. My older Beagle used to have a lot of those. The vet said they were fatty
deposits. I'd check with the vet but I wouldn't worry over it.

that's your safest bet. Me, I take my animals in if I wonder about anything because, well, I dislike worrying

3. My cat has things like that (although proportionately smaller)
They move a bit freely under the skin - i.e.they are not bound to muscle or anything. The vet calls them fatty tumors and says they're trivial. However, an egg seems big, and it may have grown quickly for you not to notice it sooner. So, I'd definitely visit the vet even though it's probably nothing. After all, pets love checkups, right?

5. Thanks DUL'ers
It was a cyst that was fatty like and it had to be drained. My guess is that this will keep occurring, but at least it is not cancerous or life threatening!
