DU.com versus DU.org: what's the setup here?

DU.com versus DU.org: what's the setup here?

Call me internet slow if you want but I just noticed that there is a "democraticunderground.org" in addition to "democraticunderground.com."

I'm signed in HERE but not THERE. There appear to be no obvious differences between the two start pages with the exception of the ".org" and the fact that I'm not signed in there.

Did I miss a "meeting?"

2. Yes you sound paranoid, but that's okay.

There's worse stuff here that people are being paranoid about. :P

I typed that into my browser and it redirected to here. I am guessing the admins bought the site name to keep from being parodied etc. :shrug: :hi;
