For my 25,000th post: welcome to the newest member of the Lostinva family
Gniles the Gnome, as seen relaxing earlier this evening with Haruka. He just arrived safely today from his home in Switzerland, where two very kind DUers watched over him until he caught his plane (thank you Heidi and Call Me Wesley). Gniles' flight to Virginia was non eventful, although he complained about that the champagne was domestic and the caviar wasn't Beluga.

Right now he's watching the "Shear Genius" marathon and eating a Kit-Kat.

17. I wish I'd had one of those when the code enforcement guy
cited us for "weed control" issues. I'd just had a baby, and trimming the ivy was not foremost on my mind. Then Mr Prick-o came to bitch about it growing 6" over the sidewalk, and proceeded to tell us we needed to have mulch under our bushes, and so on and so on.

At the time I considered finding some terra-cotta rats to decorate the lawn...

Your gnome would have been ideal!
