So DU, what's the water like where you are?
ours is kinda chemicalish, with low bacteria counts, and trace contaminants.

1. Full of lime and chlorine
I live in Indiana. You know, as in "Indiana Limestone"? Well, it's in our water, too. :(

3. Hehe
It was just discovered (well publicly :eyes: )that about 20 years ago someone illegally dumped some nasty chemicals in a gravel pit about 1/2 mile down the road from me. Yes, of course it was known years ago, but no one told anyone building/buying houses in the area. Luckily for us the contamination ran North instead of South. Our well water is (assumed) safe...not so much for the houses North of the pit.

7. Rumored to cause cancer
From years and years of growing christmas trees here in NC.

It may be just talk and I've never researched the facts of it, but I have heard from a few people that the cancer rate here is 2-3x higher than average or something.

:(

13. Very large and salty
Otherwise, non-existent. ;)

The drinking water smells like chlorine...some sort of filtration system is a must, and frankly, I prefer bottled.

Tastes amazingly great, and doesn't leave rust and spots all over the porcelain and dishware.
