40 years since Monterey Pop?

I wasn't there, I mean, I was only 7 at the time, but I heard about it.

Anyone actually attend that music festival?

2. Forty years ago, today, I attended the next best thing

I attended the Magic Mountain Music Festival up on Mount Tamalpais (SF bay area) and saw the Doors, Canned Heat, Country Joe and The Fish, the Byrds, Jefferson Airplane, the Sons of Champlin, The Miracles, Wilson Pickett, The Seeds, Blues Magoos, Tim Hardin, Sparrow, Moby Grape, Grass Roots, and the Fifth Dimension in a magical location. 15,000 people attended; a modest crowd until you squeeze them into the natural amphitheater on the mountain. It was magical.

5. Country Joe just recently performed at the Mountain Theater

Country Joe performed a 1/2 hour set in the amphitheater prior to the Mountain Play 'Hair' just two weeks ago. I wish I had seen the performance.

The afternoon fog rolls in occasionally. :rofl:
