I have enjoyed this no-news, no-politics weekend

For once I have avoided enmeshing myself in the constant barrage of bad news and general crappiness that the Bush Maladministration has inflicted on the world. My activities have included:

1. Having friends over for dinner Friday evening, including showing off my scrapbooks and laughing over my grade school yearbooks with our friend's 12-year-old daughter
2. Seeing "Shrek the Third" last night
3. Watching "Pan's Labyrinth"
4. Watching lots and lots of tennis (French Open)
5. Watching "Foul Play"
6. Nursing sick kitty back to health (well, I haven't enjoyed worrying about him)
7. Watching the birds at our feeder and bird bath
8. Re-reading the 6th Harry Potter book
9. Various and sundry activities of a personal nature
