Our kitten had his first checkup today! (With Pics!)
Practice Baby had his first checkup today, mainly because he has a raging case of earmites. So in we went at 4 today. The staff are in loooove with him! He Got tested for FIV and FeLV (negative, yay!), got dewormed, an ear exam with positive earmite diagnosis, nail trim, weighing, and his first FVRP booster shot. He was such a good patient! He weighs 2.2 lbs, just where he should be. He's sacked out from the vaccination, but came home and ate and drank before going to sleep. 2 weeks of ear drops 2x a day, and he should be a-ok. :)

And now, some recent pics:

Series! At least, until his personality develops some, and then we'll probably change it. The Vet just knows him as Baby :)

21. May I Suggest A Name?
He looks just like a cat I had when I was teenager way back when in the 70's. His name was Oscar. I named him after Oscar Wilde because he was such a drama queen and a very flambuoyant kitty. Now your kitty may have a totally different personality. Just a suggestion.........

Pere Lachaise Is So Cool
Did you visit the grave of Jim Morrison? Maria Callas? Gertrude Stein? Did you rub the crotch of the effigy of some French poet (I forget his name) for fertility?

That is such a great place!

28. All except the latter!
Going into the Columbarium to see Callas' plaque was so creepy! Took me forever to find her too! I visited Morrison's b/c my Mom wanted me to, to take pics. And, Gertrude Stein's former apartment was directly across from my school, Alliance Francaise on Rue de Raspail! :D

I miss Paris so bad....Best 3 weeks of my life, seriously.

31. Here's their website:
http://www.alliancefr.org/

I went for a 2 week course, Intermediate French. I had classmates from all over the world...USA, Slovenia, Ireland, Germany, Korea, Switzerland, etc. Here's our class pic with our teacher, Aude:

Then the 3rd week, I stayed in a hotel in the Latin Quartier, at L'Hotel Residence Monge. :)

An incredible experience, mais oui!

;-)

Seriously, what a cutie! I just want to grab him through the computer and nuzzle him!

Good luck with the ear drops. I had to give ear drops to one of my cats once. It took me and my ex working together to administer them to her - I would have to wrap her up with a blanket into a "kitty burrito" so she couldn't kick, hold her with all my strength, and he would have to forcefully hold her head still to give her the drops. It's amazing how much strength a 6-pound cat can have!
