But from June to the beginning of August, Fridays can be slow, like today. :) August through the end of September are rough, but from October through December, it's really quiet.

2. When was the last time you dramatically changed your hairstyle? Five years ago. :) It was well worth it!

3. Have you ever quit an addiction? I quit sugar. That was the hardest thing I ever had to do. That was/is the only substance I've ever abused, and I still love it.

4. Do you have any plans this weekend? Other than yard work and errands, no.

5 Whats your favorite holiday? Christmas. I'm not religious, but it's a fun holiday. Not the commercial bullshit, but just having a fun time with friends and family. :)

2. Well, I am growing it out a bit at present. "Dramatically" would probably go back to the time in '85 when I shaved off all the facial hair in a futile attempt to appear more presentable to potential employers.

4. It is a three-day weekend out here (see below)! Time to start cleaning 'n' packing for my trip back East at the end of the month.

5. At the moment, King Kamehameha Day, which falls on Monday. :bounce: Formerly, and maybe again someday, Mardi Gras (of course it's a holiday down there). In terms of traditional ones, Christmas, I suppose, especially when you throw in the long lead time with additional parties, feasts, etc.

The Civic was my second choice; I look at the price, then the MPG.

My bro owns a Corolla, nice car. But I want a navigation system in my next car, something Honda has and Toyota lacks on their lower-end models.

1. Friday is usually pretty slow. Sometimes, though, Fridays toward the end of the month are busy because everybody wants his medications refilled. We'll receive a presciption refill request on the fax, and five minutes later, there'll be a patient on the phone screaming for his meds.

"When did you run out of your meds, sir?"

"Um...two weeks ago!"

"And when did you contact the pharmacy to send us a request?"

"Um...yesterday..."

"Well sir, the doctor is seeing patients right now; the request is on his desk, but as a reminder, we really do need those 48 business hours to fill requests. Try to give yourself enough time so that you don't run out."

2. 1996. I used to wear my hair parted on the side, and combed across and back. My fiancee said I looked like Robin in the old Batman TV show. So she took me in to a salon and got me a cool cut, swept straight back. Except for adapting it for my advancing baldness, and clipping it very short on the sides, that's been the way I've worn it since.

3. Yeah, to caffeine. Two weeks of headaches and crabbiness later, I was cured. B-)

4. Get my car's oil change, attend Puyallup's "Meeker Days" celebration, in honor of our founder Ezra Meeker. And that's about it.

5. The Fourth of July. :patriot: I bug the hell out of everybody two days before, telling them that since the Declaration of Independence was adopted by the Continental Congress on July 2nd, 1776, that's what our real Independence Day is. But nobody cares... B-)

It's pretty variable. Last week was insanely busy, today is very quiet. It's slow, but I've been able to catch up on stuff today for the first time in about a month.

About eight or nine years ago now...hadn't cut my hair in at least two years, and I shaved it off after I moved into a tiny place with no AC and poor ventilation.

Not really...I quit smoking for about a year and a half, but I started again. That and coffee are the only things I can say I'm legitimately addicted to.

No, and I'm very happy about that!

Probably when I was 11. I went from very long to very short. Other than that, not too much. I go back and forth from shoulder layered to a little longer- sometimes some layers, occasionally bangs, but no big changes since I was 11.

I didn't eat sugar for two years at one point. I relapsed! :P

3. Have you ever quit an addiction? I don't think so. I tend to overindulge for a period of time until I'm tired of it, then never do it again.

Just over two years ago -- the length and so on is pretty much as I usually had it (a little less unkempt, though, and I started using hairspray in what was for a long time still a very vain attempt at taming my wild hair) but the sideburns got bigger than I'd normally want and I dyed it black...I got Elviscized. I still hate haircuts, but I've been cutting my own for about a year now (not very often, I hasten to add) and I greatly prefer it that way. Luckily Elvis had long hair in the '70s, longer and bushier than many would think, 'cos I never liked having short hair.

Not sure I ever had one. Certainly none of the obvious ones, though I guess I could say yes if being hooked on certain games and the like were included.

4. Do you have any plans this weekend?

Work, work, work. I've got to replenish my fundage and I've got a new mouth to feed (well, the mouths of the intake valves on the engine of my new old car :D ).

5 Whats your favorite holiday?

I guess it varies. I liked Thanksgiving when I first came to the US because I could really get behind a holiday basically dedicated to eating too much (and I quickly grew to love the whole turkey-cranberry-gravy-stuffing thing), but now I've eaten too much for too many years and I'm not so sure any more. It used to be Christmas, but I think I had a few too many blue ones...maybe fatherhood, if it's in my future, will change that back again. I hope so.

It's Ssllooww. I have contact with lots of senior executives at large corporations and by 10AM Friday they've flown the coop. They're off to the Hamptons or where ever the fuck rich people go on the weekends.

About four years ago. My hair was really long. My basement flooded with sewage and I was working 16 hours a day throwing things out, hosing, scrubing, in 100 degree heat. One day I just got tired of it, went to my hair guy, and got a crew cut.

Yes. When I got married I ended my sex addiction. Involuntarily.

Yep. Big Fun. We have a neighbor who is moving to an assisted care apartment and we're having a neighborhood going away party for her. She's been in her house for 50 years and is the neighborhood matriarch. Tomorrow night we're going to see As You Like It in the park.

Thanksgiving. We usually have a big dinner for all of our friends who don't have family in town or can't/choose not to go home for the holiday. Tons of food, lots to drink, and loads of fun.

Every day is a busy day...but we get fewer phone calls on Fridays because people who get fired on Fridays generally stew about it over the weekend, whereas people who get fired on other weekdays call from their cars on the way out of their former workplace. (I work in an employment law firm.)
