for productive purposes, avoid the game frozen-bubble at all costs! I haven't wasted this much time since tetris. If you insist http://www.frozen-bubble.org has versions for most distributions.

I love Foul Eggs and the tetris clone that comes with KDE. I am downloading FB now. Glider Pro is fun too, and free now.

i know this because i have spent countless hours and days researching it.

if the game gets one of your pieces up on the rail and has the number 6 column covered, you will proceed to roll about 3 or 4 doubles sixes in a row. this, in fact, is the only time you will ever roll double sixes during a game.

if you get one of the system's pieces up on the rail and you have all the columns covered except for, say, the number 5 column, the computer will immediately roll a double five.

anyways, i noticed this behavior quite a bit on one of my mandrake installations on the sun sparc 20. i haven't tried it yet on a PC. my only non-windows PC right now is currently running solaris 2.8 and there are no games on it.

finally settling on Debian. It was harder to install than the latest versions of the others. It doesn't use the bleeding edge latest versions, but opts instead for stability.

...that it cheats on backgammon.
