Any scooter people out there

I am thinking of buying scooter of the research I have done I am leaning to the Suzuki Burgman 400.

I never bought a motorcycle before, the MSRP is $5899.00. Are dealers willing to bargain on their prices? If so what would be a reasonable deal on one of these?

1. We have two scooters but both of them are many years old.

We drive one of them, a Yamaha Riva, on the road, the other is a Honda Spree we use to play around with on the farm. We bought both of them for about $1500 total, used from other farm owners. I can't say what they would be new but they are definitely worth the investment. The gas savings and "fun" value are something to consider. We always wear a helmet when we are on the road and you have to drive very defensively - that old truism about motorcycles is true - people just don't see you.

There are a couple of scooter riders in the Lounge. Hopefully one of them will chime in on purchasing a new vehicle.
