Matsubara's Garden Photos: Hi-res
Okay, so I finally borke down and bought a digital camera - developing photos is pricey here, and the cell phone takes lousy pics.

So here are some better photos of the little garden. It still looks a bit barren, but that will change as the plantings grow in.

*To the person who compared my little yard to the dog run on their backwater swamp worm farm - It's none of my business where you keep your wife...

Anyway, I'm throwing in a pic of our little old 1990 microvan for good measure - yeah, it's kind of a clunker - it only cost $300. But it runs and suits our needs for the time being. Have fun ragging on that, too, pussycat, if it it makes you feel superior...

2. Hehe. The famous laundry.
It was called on account of rain today.

4. I like your yard, and I bet it will look really great when the foliage
grows more.

And I'm jealous--your hydrangeas are already blooming! I have one in a large pot on my deck. Buds are there, but it hasn't bloomed yet.

6. Thanks, they'll be trashed in a couple weeks' time.
They are usually associated with the late spring/early summer rainy season here, but the rainy season has come about 2 weeks late this year - just started 2 days ago. Once the rainy season ends in mid July, it will just be hot and miserable and hydrangeas all wilt.

I guess Seattle is as bit cooler than here, so your blooms may be longer-lasting. In San Francisco, the Hydrangeas seemed to bloom almost year-round. The climate there is fantastic.

8. Thanks, I hope I can show more lush ones in a few months.
We're getting plenty of rain now, so that should help.
