This dress only cost $26, but she looks like a million in it



NEW YORK, NY (June 13, 2007) – Angelina Jolie rocked the shabby chic look at the New York premiere of “A Mighty Heart” on Wednesday night.

Did she show up wearing St. John, the label she’s the contracted face of?

Nope!

Angie tells Access that the crushed velvet dress she was sporting was from the vintage store Wasteland on Melrose Avenue in LA.

The outfit’s total cost?

$26!

Around 50% of my wardrobe comes from Savers, though those who have met me will tell you I don't come off quite as well in it. :P

9. She is very thin these days
I've always really liked her but she used to look slim and athletic. Now she looks thin. It would be hard for her not to look drop-dead gorgeous but I'd like to see a bit more muscle on those bones. :(

are so telling regarding the weight loss. Still beautiful, but can't imagine she feels that great looking so emaciated...

Props to her for showing off the $26 dress though; maybe a few women out there will realize they don't have to go into debt to purchase designer labels of everything that goes into their closet.

When I watched "Mr.and MRs.Smith" I finally saw why everyone is so crazy about her. She is out of this world fantastic looking.

I have to guess that they make up over the tatoos. :shrug: or were they temps?

14. I've bought vintage on Melrose
though the prices have gone way up through the years. Melrose is sort of the hip shopping street in LA.

never saw Angelina, did see Terrence Stamp, and Garry Shandling in different stores. I'd rather see Angelina.

She was on cable last night in this movie "Hackers" which was pretty unwatchable. She had to be, what, maybe 19?

Yes, the dress is nice, her hair is great, and I wouldn't even say she's "too thin," but she does look like she's lost some weight from being stressed. I hope Brad-what's-his-name is helping out with all the kids!
