I'm in the middle of a motel horror story
3 of us are moving across country, on the road for 3 days now and I'm really tired. Tonight the motel is kinda crummy and in a sketchy area because it's hard to find places that will take the amount of pets we have with us. And I am separated from the rest of the group, with the animals in my room tonight since it was the only "pet" room this place had left.

Right under me are 3 unemployed guys from my state who have been drinking and throwing chicken bones into the parking lot since I got here a few hours ago. One of them has taken a shine to me. I was trying to be nice because I left a lot of things in my car that have a lot of sentimental value to me, and I didn't want them to mess with it and I figured if I got on their good side, they wouldn't AND they'd watch it for me.

But it is out of hand. Every time I go outside - to let the dogs pee or get something from the car or whatever - one of them wants to come with me. He asked if I was married and gave me a HUG, asks lots of questions, etc. He followed me to get a drink from the machine and tried to get me to go into his room. The dogs were cramped in the car for about 10 hours today and I didn't take them for a walk tonight because I knew I'd get unwanted company. Then when I said I was going to sleep, about 1/2 an hour later he CALLED my room to see if I wanted to come back out.

I know he's probably harmless but I'm feeling like a prisoner in the room and am nervous about my car. I can't watch TV or look out the window because then he'd know I'm awake. I'm glad I have the dogs in the room with me. All I want is a good night's sleep and instead I get this.

1. It sounds terrible. So glad at least you have your computer
and you can talk to us. Can you call one of your fellow travelers to come and help with the animals? Best wishes!

2. Thanks
I didn't want to worry the other travelers or make the situation worse... I'm hoping he'll just drink himself to sleep and that will be the end.

4. If the guy gets too crazy call the front desk or call the cops. Good thing
you have dogs with you. I'm sorry you are going through this.

That sounds extremely irritating.
