I at least always manage to do THAT, as I suck at the card/gift thing ... AND wait to hear from GOPisEvil after he leaves his parent's house. They just met me last Sunday, so I'm sure they'll have *something* to say about it. :scared:
9. Well, the first thing I said to Dave when we got in the car to leave was...
..."I thought you said your mom doesn't talk much?" The woman chatted me up like crazy! I figure that's a pretty good sign. :shrug: I actually loved them both - they are sooooooooooo cute! :D And I felt totally at ease the entire time. No weird vibes at all ... but his visit with them today will be the true telling of how it all went. ;)
12. We just finished our celebration and DH and I are whipped!
He's napping while I'm checking out DU. We had our son and dil, our daughter and her daughter and our other granddaughter whose dad(our son) is fishing right now.
My daughter made deep fried beer battered chicken tenders and onion rings and I made baked potato salad. My son and Dil made a chocolate/peanut butter cream pie.
The kids swam while the "adults" were shooting each other with water pistols. Yeah..we're all kids at heart.
Oh..and DH received a metal detector from the kids.
