I was lucky enough to have a super day.
My daughter, who is 19, visited with her new boyfriend. He seemed like a straight up dude (which I like). He is a 4th generation farmer's son. They raise cattle in Virginia on a 290 acre farm.

The kid actually approached me and introduced himself as he shook my hand. I swear my daughter gives her beaus the heads-up on how to act. He gave me about 5 pounds of hamburger and a dozen fresh eggs. Both of which are from his farm and from what his family eats and does not sell.

He is a far cry from her normal boyfriends.

When they left there were 2 back-to-back Cold Cases on tv. My love practically fell asleep in front of me (so cute to watch I might add). I held off on the beers and wine so I didn't miss anything (well drank slower).

And here I is! What a perfect day.... :loveya:

Who is still up? hehe

:hi:

1. Good morning
:hi:

Well, it is 8.30am here and I am already at work. Decided to show up earlier again to get some stuff done and so that I don't need to sit here till 6pm.

My weekend was really nice too. Met with neweurope. We had a BBQ at her place and I had the chance to bake another cake. It was yummy :)

Here is a pic of a piece of the cake

8. We do have Father's Day over here
but in my family it gets as much celebrated as Mother's Day .... say not at all

My dad died 6 years ago, so unfortunately there is no reason to celebrate that day ....

Most of the cake I left with neweurope. You have to ask her to give you a piece :D

So I'll wait for the cake :D

My dad passed some time ago as well. I guess I've been assimulated in the sense that on this day I think a lot about him.

2. Today was the monthly punk rock soccer in the park...
So, we had balls, BBQ, and beer in the park today.. Cops not showing up was a bonus, and rare.

That was my day.. Now I will drink and dork around on the tubes.

11. Back!
How is Ms. Peggy this fine eve?

I hope you had no doubts your pics would be a hit. I, for one, always looked forward to them.

In fact, I saw you getting all kinds of hellos the first day I got on DU. A day or so later you posted some pics, and I was hooked!

with journals. I see buttons to click and always hesitate. :D

I'd be mad if someone read my journals hehe

10. ahhhh the red wine :)
That is exactly what I am doing, winding down with red wine.

My dad drove a truck so I know how those car rides can be on certain days. It sounded like fun.

Well, I still have to watch on the boy. Daughter may have went from outright no-goods to ones you can't tell, hehe. Naw, I got a real good vibe off of him. He got along with my dogs.. thats a sure sign.

:)
