2. I should have added 'in the southern climates'.

I wouldn't want to spend any time in weather near or below freezing. Heck, anything below 60 degrees sounds like the wrong place for me to be. :hi:

4. I'm soooo tired of staying in smelly motel rooms!

As soon as I ask "Do you accept pets?" I know I'm risking a night with noxious smells.
I have an apartment in south florida that I'll be giving up because when the snowbirds migrate south for the winter ~ Fort Lauderdale is unbearable. I'm trying to decide if (1) I want a cheaper place in mid-florida or (2) if I want to ship all of the new furniture to New York and just live in the camper.

8. It'll just be the parrot & me until I pick-up a new puppy.

I lived on a boat for 5 months back in '87.

That was tons of fun but I wasn't alone on the 62 foot Striker that my husband & I were refitting between Key West and New York.

BTW He is the little guy walking in front of the boat.

13. Sweet. We lived on a 1933 35 ft Criss Craft back in the 80's.

Early 80's. While we were still wild and drunk most days.

14. I'm impressed. Wooden boats have a charm of their own.

I've always been boating in fiberglass ( I guess that's why I prefer this travel trailer over the others I've looked at).

IMO There's a lot to be said for being 'wild & drunk'. My liver is in excellent shape

so I still have some wild & crazy drinking days ahead.

21. We gave up alcohol due to not remembering who we made deals with, etc.

Oh, and when we lived on the boat, we inherited an 110 lb German Shepard from the Monks of New Skete who was seasick most of the time. Talk about dysfunction.

I have no idea what my liver is up to these days. Sober 20 years now, but had a friend who was sober 25 years die from cirrhosis a few years back.

10. I'm getting to like the 'feeling of freedom' better everyday.

I'm still need to rent a storage spot for my trike in the south because it just doesn't make any sense at all for it to be frozen in all winter long.

Yep. I'll be traveling alone with my featherhead until we find a french bulldog to add to the family.

in a heartbeat. I have two dogs so it's out of the question for me but I love small space and I wouldn't mind it a bit.

12. I like being where it's warm for the winter but right about now I'm missing some

of my favorite things that are 1,400 miles away.

My old golden retriever is too old to start traveling so she'll continue to stay in New York. I missed her far too much this past winter so I know a very small puppy is in my future. I've been told that a French Bulldog would be the least threating dog to have around birds so that's what I'll be looking for. :hi:
