I've never been able to tolerate REM (except in 1/2 song doses). They're the most overrated rock band of the 80s. Thankfully they've all but faded into irrelevance.

Is how many hours I could go without screaming if trapped in a room with their music piped in. I could last through an hour of REM before I'd start climbing the walls and screaming for help. (I actually have a couple of their songs, Orange Crush is still a favorite, and Radio Free Europe.)

15 minutes of Air Supply would reduce me to a blubbering, vengeful fiend. Might as well play some Michael Bolton and just drive me all the rest of the way crazy.
