Mild-mannered pit bull recovering from feline attack
By Peter Cox, Enterprise special correspondent

Rascal the cat lived up to his name this week.

A 10-month-old Brockton pit bull named Willow was taking a leisurely stroll with her owner on a quiet street in nearby Stoughton.

Suddenly, Rascal leaped out of the grass, scratched the much-larger pit bull across the eye and nose, and landed, ready to fight, according to the dog's owner.

Feisty felines like Rascal have been seen elsewhere.

On June 14 in Mount Holly, Penn., a terrier was seriously injured when a neighborhood house cat lunged at the dog's face.

Earlier this year, a small black cat attacked a pit bull in Sacramento, Calif., leaving the dog with a wound on its face. The owner of the pit bull is lobbying for a leash law for cats in California.

1. Rumors of a shipment of herring to the cat from one "Matcom News, LLC" are still being investigated.
Details will be provided as they emerge.

2. This is why all pit bulls should have a Concealed Carry License
These attacks would easily be avoided.

3. My pitties are terrified of cats
Nothing sends them flying like a dose of Evil Mean Kitty! Though Deuce warms up to the kitty if said kitty is cool with dogs. We have two cats that have adjusted to the dogs, Deuce gives them baths. Hell, he fell in love with a little kitten we fostered, he'd pick him up by the scruff, put him up on the bed, then jump on the bed himself and give the kitten a bath.

Then again, Deuce ain't quite right.
