I started moving into my new condo today

I had forgotten how much stuff I had. I took over a pick-up truck load of stuff today and none of it was even furniture. Just boxes and boxes of crap. I started to look through the stuff to see if I could thin it out a little, but I found myself thinking, "No, I can't throw that away. No, I can't part with that," even though much of the stuff is things that have been sitting in boxes for years.

When I walked into my condo today I felt a giddy sense of pleasure. I love my mom and step-dad and I am very grateful that they let me stay with them while I was in between homes, but it's going to be very good to have my own place again.

Tomorrow I will move my computer and desk into the place. All I'll have left to move is my bedroom. I need to by living room stuff and a TV. I'm going to have that delivered and then I will be all set.

This is the happiest I've been in a while. I felt like a bum living here. I was welcome, it's just that I'm 34 years old and living with my folks. That won't help your self esteem any.

and i hear ya on trying to thin stuff out...i have that same conversation with myself every so often, but i just can't bear to part with things

Do you remember me from when I first started posting here? I see we have both been here a while and I recognize your user name, but I can't put the name to the face so to speak :).

I have a lot of you guys to thank for me getting stronger. If you guys weren't here to listen to me when I needed to talk and if you all hadn't given me lots of encouragement, I'd probably be a different person right now and not for the better. DU has helped me develop my writing skills as well, and for that reason I will always be in debt to this place no matter how much I donate to the fundraisers.

I'm chilling with some Icehouse right now. Not the most sophisticated of beers, but it packs a good punch. How have you been, man? Are you still living in Indiana? I have a route at work now that covers the central Indiana region. Four stops in Indianapolis, one in Lafayette, one in Kokomo, and one in Anderson. Then it's back to Ohio.

How's things going now days? Is everybody doing ok? I thought that I had all of that over the road truckin' out of my system, but I still find myself longing for California sometimes. :)
