Virgin Falls, Tennessee

As far as I know, it's the only photo of the complete falls, top to bottom, all 200 feet of it. It flows out of a cave up top, falls over the cliff, and disappears into another extensive cave in the pit down below. I caught it at low water in August, 2002: normally it's much fuller. It's a composite of two different photos blended together. It's impossible to fit the whole thing into one shot.

19. I wouldn't mind being there right now

But it's a rugged 4-mile hike to get to it, with about 3,000 feet of elevation changes. One of the most beautiful spots on earth.
