Anybody else here wearing real combat boots, I am wearing my old Army boots.
They are still in good shape after all these years.

My ankle feels better when I wear them.

I am only 67 post away from 6000, I would like to reach 6000 tonight.

The last few posts seem to take the longest.

1. I'm wearing my trusty black Docs.
I've still got a pair of my old combat boots, and they're in excellent shape. I've also got a pair of Bundeswehr issue combat boots and some Bundeswehr tanker boots, too. Wir marchieren vor!

3. They are my jump boots.
The old army boots were made very well and seem to last forever.

They are the best fitting shoe or boot I have ever had.

All they need is a little care.

2. what did you do to your ankle?
you probably told me and if you did i apologize for not remembering because it seems familiar that you did do something to your ankle?

4. I stepped in a hole last September, really injured my ankle.
It has taken until about a month ago for the pain to go away.

So I either have to wear the old ankle brace for awhile or the jump boots, I rather wear the jump boots.

No one messes with a woman wearing army boots.

7. Everyone should jump out of a airplane a least once.
It is really fun.

Plus you get a really good pair of boots out of it.

9. One of the biggest mistakes of my 'career' was throwing away my bootcamp leather boots
they were the comfiest boots I'd ever own. They were scratched, and would never pass inspection. The Marine Corps is some really stupid shit when it comes to looking like some pristine shiny band members.

Ironing camouflage, fucking morons.

11. The army had the same attitude about shiny boots.
I do keep these shined so the leather stays in good shape.

13. I'm wearing my brand new Birkenstocks
I've retired my old pair, and will wear them only in the gardens. My new pair will be my summer shoe for, I'm hoping, the next 5 years. I had the last pair for 7 years, and wore them almost every day.

14. There is nothing like a good pair of shoes.
I hate buying a new pair, I wear my old shoes to death.

Due to my ankle anything without ankle support is out of the question.

You can see your toes in that picture.

15. The first two pairs issued to me fell apart
They were the black ones with the rubber soles - I just plain wore them out by the time I left the service. Three years after I left the 'Mean Green Fighting Machine™', they called me back from some IRR fun and issued me a new pair of boot with leather lasts. Where they dug up the dinosaurs, I haven't a clue, but I wear them occasionally for heavy yard work and figure I'll have them broke in just right before I die.

I had some in high school because those were our marching band boots ...
and they came in handy everytime we had a snowstorm.

20. I was in Germany for a few years and so I can relate wearing them in a snow strorm.
I like the feel of boot around my ankle, I am afraid I will step in another hole.
