1. Ahhhh! I see your Kung-Fu is very Strong!
Years ago, when I lived in Indy, one of the non-net stations would run "Kung-Fu Theatre" on Saturday afternoon.

Not a lot got done on Saturdays around my place...

7. Jackie Chan, Gordon Liu, Maggie Chiung, Michelle Yeoh, Sonny Chiba
Love em all. Have since I was a kid. It's one of the reasons I've been a martial artist all my life. My all time favorite Martial Arts film is Above the Law though, because it was the first one to really show the power and beauty of Aikido.

I also love Samurai movies including all of Akira Kurosawa's samurai films, especially Sanjuro for the incredible Iaido draw/slice/explosion of blood climax patterned on an American Western gunfight.

As for Lee's films, my favorite is Return of the Dragon for the excellent duel with Chuck Norris in the Coleseum.

My favorite Jackie Chan film is Project A.

9. Perhaps you can help me
I haven't seen a lot of chop-socky movies but I saw one on TV years ago that was terrific and I can't remember the title. A village is attacked and a young boy vows revenge. He goes to the Shao-Lin temple where there are 13 chambers of ascending difficulty that he must master before he can avenge the attack. Impatiently he choses to start at the 13th so he can be done quickly. He walks into a room where elderly monks are seated all along the walls. While they remain still, he is thrown against the wall by an invisible force. The 13th chamber turns out to be the force of pure thought.
So he agrees to start at the first chamber and the movie follows his progress through a series of cleverly designed physical trials.

Now is that the plot for several movies or just one?

17. Can't think of the name of that movie
but it was a good one. With Tommy Lee Jones, right?

But is that considered a martial arts movie?

16. I do
I have a quite a few, including the early Jet Li films. Fist of Legend, The Tai Chi Master (U.S. title "Twin Warriors") are definitely worth watching, choreography by Yuen Woo Ping.

18. I love kung-fu flicks.
And there's stuff out there that makes most of Lee's movies seem boring. He was a pioneer, but his films haven't aged well. If you want recommendations, see early films by Sammo Hung, Jackie Chan, Jet Li, Yuen Bao or most anything by the Shaw brothers. I'd also suggest seeing most or all of the classic films of the genre if you really want to enjoy them..movies like The Master Killer, The Five Deadly Venoms and such.

I bought those movies on DVD last year- a darned good investment ;-)

Of course, there's nothing like the Black Belt Theater movies though.
