Was you first love your first lover?
Edited on Tue Jun-26-07 09:16 AM by ohiosmith
No. I was nine she was 12 and her big brother Vinnie told me if he ever caught me with her he would beat the crap out of me.

1. My first lover was my first crush but he wasn't my first "love"
Not really remotely. He was my best friend's brother and I had a crush on him since I was 8. By the time I hit 15, we were just friends and I wasn't seriously interested in him but he was someone "safe" to experiment with. Which is all it was - pure curiosity. And I have no regrets.

Actually, I never had sex with my first love, interestingly enough, though we dated until I was 18.

3. Noooo!
First lover was a purely serendipitous thing...quite the surprise and not really involving the more evolved emotions....

5. No, and it kills me inside to this very day when I think back on it.
It should have been. We always waited for the "right time", and wanted to wait until we were married. But I was forced to leave the town where we were growing up, and, well, ya all know how that goes... There a part of me that's never gotten over that. My first "lover" was a mistake, and a jealousy fuck so that the girl could get back at her useless boyfriend. Wow, I think I'll go jump off of something really high now...

10. Well....
There are a few ways you could look at that. Reality is seldom as good as the ideal or the fantasy - had your dreams come true, would they be as good as the dreams? Think about it - you can hold on to her as the perfect girl and she'll always remain that. There's something to be said for that.

Of course, I can tweak and rationalize anything. :P

8. yeah, he was
We were together about a year and a half. I really did love him.

He was the first in a long line of men that I loved who didn't love me back.

15. Yes
I met him on my 13th birthday (he was 2 years older). He's the only guy I ever dated that actually met my father (although this was years before the official dating). We finally starting dating sometime in the summer of 1983. It lasted for 6 months - he was in college and I was still in HS

16. Yes.
Sounds kind of hookey, but she was my first real love and lover. The emotions, the sexual experiences were all new and unbelievably strong. Although the relationship didn't last, we are still friends and even though there have been many other lovers since then and I'm happily married now, when she walks into the room, my heart still skips a beat. Hookey, I know, I know, but it's real.
