Would Laurie make a good "our minibrain", if you get my drift?

I can see it now Blackadder V:

Edmind Blackadder is the British Ambassador to the United States....

4. Which one is Black Adder Goes Forth?
I think #1 was where he was Prince Edmund. #2 he was something with Queen Elizabeth. #3 he was the valet to the Prince of Wales. In #4 it was World War I or II. Is that the Goes Forth?

I still quote the French guy "how conwenient."

17. The last episode, especially...
Each of the Blackadder series ends with all the characters dying. The "tradition" began with the first one, which liberally ripped off Shakespeare--several of his tragedies end with bodies all over the place.

In Blackadder Goes Forth, there was no need to invent a clever plot twist to bring on the demise of the characters. They just followed history. Some of the best military minds of that generation had already invented methods of killing great numbers of their own troops.

Once the characters realize they're going into a hopeless battle, the tone changes a bit from the hilarious snarkiness that I love so well in Blackadder.

At the end, they go "over the top" in slow motion & the smoke of battle obscures the details. The Great War is too recent to be amusing. In Britain, especially, there are too many fading photos of grandfathers or great-grandfathers who never came back.

15. I love that series... Brilliant! :^)
2 is my fave, 3 and 4 are tied, 1 is ok but I like the snarky version of Edmund better.

I do admit to sniffling as each of the Eddies met their end. :^(
