White Rabbit is on my list of ALL TIME GREATS, so is Somebody to Love.

But that doesn't mean I can't appreciate a different kind of music...

Barry White was okay. But I have to be in the right frame of mind and mood to listen to him.

Miracles creates the mind frame and the mood.

(on edit: Starship was even called Jefferson Starship when Miracles came out. Many of the Airplane members were members of Starship. It was only later that they were sued by an Airplane founder to drop the Jefferson.)

I think "We Built This City on Rock and Roll" is a very well crafted pop song.

"Miracles" was also a megahit, and was well done.

And I like the old Jefferson Airplane too.

I've been a musician (classical and other kinds as well) nearly my whole life and I think both Airplane and Starship are good.

I don't know why there is so much hatred for Starship when there are plenty of other bands I could name that were a whole lot less musical, in fact, unlistenable to me, that some people around here worship.

...the hatred here for some musical groups or styles is so foreign to me. I can understand not liking something but I truly don't get the intense hatred and put down of so many musical styles & groups here.
