Take it away...

2. Ceci n'est pas une plaisanterie au sujet des surrealists qui baisent dans les ampoules.
(I babelfish'd that because I'm too lazy to try and actually think in French, so ignore the probable grammatical errors.)

18. As an actual SURREALIST, I must tell you: The light bulb is SYMBOLIC, and therefore timeless.
We don't change light bulbs, we change your basic concepts of "lightbulb-NESS".

The bulb never changes, only your OPINION of it.
They're just like PEOPLE that way.

20. Not "best" in the sense that this was a "FUN" topic.
I really am a "SURREALIST"; I held off awhile on posting that
because it really wasn't as FUN as the thread was. KnowhutImean?

23. As a surrealist you should mention
that the lightbulb is probably symbolic of something very sexy, and is just another seat of strange and erotic and violent desire.

25. The surrealists were very much influenced by Freud
the theories of the unconscious and subconscious were becoming widely known at the time. Psychological inquiry was the height of fashion at the time. Desire is always in style. One surrealist went by the name of R.Rose Selavy (Eros, C'est La Vie.)
