Hell has froze over ........ Diana Ross: I want to thank Mary Wilson
I didn't see it, but La Ross thanked ALL the Supremes at the BET awards and singled out Mary Wilson.

1. I really dislike Diana Ross
I think she's a back stabbing phoney.

2. Ditto
Florence Ballard and Mary Wilson were treated badly when Diana left the group. And those "prima donna" airs she puts on makes me laugh.

5. They sure did.
My favorite Supreme song post-Ross was "Up the Ladder to the Roof". Jean Terrell is a fantastic singer.

8. I have that album and about three other post ross Supremes albums
and that was (still is) a great song. Jean and Cindy Birdsong were awesome Supremes.

10. I may have to inquire
After reading this thread I'm needing me some Supremes Music. I have the old Supremes-Temptations Album and just about every Supremes Album (but no CDs.) I think I'll have to treat myself. Thanks for the idea.

Why was Diana such a prima donna? Hell, she was a projects girl from Detroit who made good and that should have made her humble. Mary and Flo were so cool (Bless Flo's heart.)

12. Two reasons
1. She was very ambitious

2. Berry Gordy

Gordy saw her as "the star" and saw that she wanted it. He fed her ego. By the time Florence was kicked out of the group, the Supremes were nothing but vehicle for La Ross going solo.

There are some song of her solo that I love, but all in all the Supremes music is better than anything she did solo.

Oh I likes me some diva's, but La Ross pretty much over stayed her welcome to me by the end of the 1970's.

Record Albums? 1970's Divas? Florence Ballard (who has been dead for 30+ years??) I would not trade my growing up years for nothing. And I have a record player in the den; for Elton and Chicago and Bruce and the Supremes and Bad Company and Black Oak Arkansas. Oh My! I love the snap, crackle and pop of old albums.

17. Good ol' records!
I had a record player as soon as I could walk. My mom gave me all her old 45's so I grew up learning the songs of Elvis, Little Richard, The Platters and so on. Ed Sullivan was my favorite show because the Supremes were on it all the time.

13. No way?
Tell! Tell! Tell!

Did you have to look away from her when she walked in the room?

Did she throw a fit when people didn't call her "Miss Ross"?

Do you have any scars (mental and physical) from coming in contact with the Talon Like Claws of La Ross?

16. She sort of crashed it.
It was at a private club in Greenwich, CT and she arrived not knowing that the club/restaurant was closed to people not affiliated with the party.

She sat in an Adirondack chair next to her husband until we were all gone. She was supremely pissed. I'm pretty sure we ruined her evening because, as the bride, people were paying attention to me and not her.

4. Maybe she felt guilty after seeing "Dreamgirls"
But that's something. I mean, it's about time. Enough is enough.

7. WAY over do!
But don't tell that to a hard core Ross fan. She could run over their grandmother and they'd still worship the ground she walks on.

15. Her daughter (on Girlfriends) seems decent enough
At least I've never seen any negative gossip about her.
