HOO-wah! Feel the burn! 1,800 Calories today!
I went to the gym, and did 3 back-to-back session of 40 minutes each, burning 600 Cal each time.

Let's see if I can keep it up, and get rid of this fucking gut that's been plaguing me for years...

1. Way to Go!
I went from a size 18 to a size 8 (woman's), and have kept it off for 9 years. If I can do it, anyone can.

Keep up the good work, and if you need any support feel free to PM me. :-)

2. Wow... that's a lot of exercise...
I'd have to hike twelve hours in the Rockies to burn that much, I think. Probably the closest I've come to burning 1800 calories was by burning the family dinner! LOL

Keep it up and try to motivate the rest of us...

3. Now, if only
all the new years' resolution fitness poser fuckers would hurry up and quit, so I don't have somebody tapping me on the shoulder every 40 minutes to get off, and then spend 10 minutes cooling down before my next stint.

7. Use the elliptical machine
They look like cross-country ski machines a bit, crossed with stairmaster.

You've got poles for your arms, and your feet make elliptical cycles, instead of going back and forth.

On the Polar brand, I set manual workout, the resistance for 10 (out of 20), and a 40 minute limit.

I'm sure there's a correction on your weight and pulse as well, but if I maintain 65-75 rpm for that time, I burn 600 calories in those 40 minutes.

6. And you're burning them in Texas, where the calories are much bigger!
That would be, like, 3000 Ohioan calories.

Congrats! I just today started back on a road to get back to my wedding day weight (50 lbs from here--I am an official fat bastard) for my 20th anniversary). I do an Atkinsonian thing, not truly the program but a severe cut in the amount of carbs I eat, plus more exercise.

Yep, eating less, exercising more. What a radical concept, eh?

Keep it up!

8. That's pretty impressive
once again! If you kick it up, you'll soon kick your metabolism into higher gear and you'll start burning more calories at rest as well.

I applaud your enthusiasm, but be careful you don't burn yourself out. Keep up the good work!
