Dear Abbey Dear Abbey A hitchhiker's lament
Found on a light pole outside of Denver on I-70 East at the interchange of 70 and 25, ahem:

Dear Abbey Dear Abbey
I've stood here too long
My feet are frozen
Cigarettes are gone

Ten thousand cars
No-one has heard
And every damn one
Has flipped me the bird.

To which Abbey sez:

Hitchhiker Hitchhiker
You have no complaint
You are what you are
And you ain't what you ain't

So listen up buster
And listen up good
Quit wisging for hardluck
And knocking on wood.

A parody of John Prine's Dear Abbey, but after being stuck there overnight I could understand the sentiment.
