Upcomer who shocked the world (tennis world, at least) with her semi play - and fading star (at what, 27?) whose ranking has dropped into the 30s.

And there it is (as I type) - Venus wins!

5. I just cried.

That was so sweet what Bartoli said about her dad and then her dad broke down. :cry: She played so well the entire tournament. Good for her. I am a big Venus fan but you have to love the way Bartoli played and respect her class and grace during that interview.

And Venus giving a shoutout to Billie Jean...:cry: What a final.

is that Maria Sharapova lost, she is the only reason I watch tennis.

With her hotness gone, there is no reason to watch.

She's hot but her attitude sucks. Plus, she only has the power game, a big serve but not much else. I am glad she lost.
