Are your parents divorced?

1. You might want to add some categories
Only because there are many shades of gray in this marriage business. For instance, my parents are both deceased, however they were married at the time of my mother's death. My father dated several women before he passed away 9 years later, but never remarried. However, both my parents had been married and divorced before they married each other.

See what I mean?

2. Hmm...
I was just looking for a yes/no, but you make a good point.

3. My parents are married, nearing their 48th anniversary.
My four siblings and I are also all married, with length of marriages ranging from 10 years to 17 years.

4. That's pretty great!
I ask because, when I was in high school, the parents of almost everyone I knew were divorced, far beyond the famed "1 out of 2" statistic touted in years to follow.

Props to your family on its longterm commitments!

5. I also had lots of friends with divorced parents.
I'm not sure they outweighed the ones with married parents, but it was still a pretty high number.

For era reference, I'm 41.

6. Yup. Unfortunately,
they divorced too late for it to do me any good.

8. Both were previously married...
My dad had been marrid twice before he met mom...
Mom had a marriage anulled...

They were married for 28 years when Dad died in 1992.

They would have no doubt been together still were he still alive.
