we let go of Scarlett this afternoon.

we let go of Scarlett this afternoon.
Cancer had set in - the eye infection mostly cleared up, but the pressure in her right eye wouldn't go down (it was more than double what it should have been) and was hurting her. She also had a big mass in her abdomen that could have ruptured at any time. Pretty well blind and feeble. She died while I held her at 1:45 today.



RIP, funny dog, and thank you.

5. we think she was half Scottie, half wirehair dachsund.
Got her seven years ago from a rescue group.

The house feels weird tonight, and will for a while to come. She was so quiet the last few weeks, I don't think Chris has realized that she's not here any more, which has made it a little easier.
