Ugh....Good Vibes for my family please?

We've been going through a rough patch lately. My Mom's Drs think she might have ALS. Her dog got hit by a car the same day she was informed of this (and thankfully survived), and now 2 weeks later, my very immuno-supressed Dad is in the ICU with a bad infection.

When it rains, it pours, no?

I'm glad the dog made it, 'cause it sounds as if your mom (and let's hope the diagnosis is incorrect) will need her fluffy companion.

She didn't break any bones, just banged up her liver some and some internal bleeding. 2 days in the Vet Hospital and she was back home.

I have had a pretty rough year, but things are really looking up for me. In 16 days time I am moving into what will eventually become a part owned house by me. And today I am going to sit a job interview for what is my dream job. So the rain clouds are lifting for me, and there is nothing but blue skies for miles. The same will be for you too. :)

Dad has been transferred. Hospital 1 never told Hospital 2 that Dad has MS. :mad:

So, they gave him an MRI, b/c of his slurred speech, which he always gets when he has a severe infection. They thought they saw a small bleed in the brain, but now that they know he has MS, they have to go back and re-assess. If it was a stroke, it was very mild.

He's stable, vitals are good. One kidney totally blocked, needs a stent, but that can't happen until the infection(s) are cleared up. Pneumonia is not verified.

Can I repeat how much I hate Doctors sometimes?

Say it and school all of us how fucked up the health care system is sometimes!!

They were trying to treat my Dad for bronchitis and he had EMPHASYEMA!!!!!! Idiots.

When my son #2 was a baby, he collapsed and was rushed to the ER by me.

He had just seen the doctor the day before and was cleared as healthy!

The ER INSISTED he needed a blood test!! :argh: Lingo for "We don't believe you that your son has asthma!!"

Well; after 20 attempts to draw blood. YES!! 20 attempts!!! :grr: at the two year old;

they decided to draw blood from his head!

This was right after waiting in the ER for TWO HOURS!!

You try keeping a two year old "calm" in an ER for two hours!! Holy shit!! :grr:

He, in a split second, tried to climb up and fell off, a gurney and needed 12 stitches in his head!!

It was after that they decided, that they needed to draw blood from his head!! :wtf:

Talk about a traumatic experience and at the end??

The hospital geniuses :sarcasm: decided (as I had been telling them over and over)]
that he had Asthma and the (geniuses) decided to give him an Epi shot!

DOH!! (as I had been insisting on from minute one!!)

Fucking geniuses! :sarcasm:
