Nickelback headlined this year's Festival of Lights, which organizers described as the largest Canada Day celebrations east of Ottawa.

Staind, Hedley, Finger Eleven, Buckcherry, and Default also performed during the concert that Tourism Charlottetown had promoted as a family friendly event. But the acts spouted their share of adult language, particularly during a Nickelback set that featured frequent use of the F-word.

At one point, the band also rolled out a table full of beer and started throwing it into a section of the crowd that wasn't designated for alcohol and included teenagers and children under the legal drinking age.

A friend of mine walked past that show while Nickelback were on stage and she said that Kroeger at that point was going on about how he smelled weed and to blow it up at him and that he'd hook them up with more weed because weed smokers are a different breed.

Again, this was a family concert.

See? They don't just make shitty music, they're jackasses as well.

Oh, I wanted to say that I was thinking about you yesterday. I was at the Everything for a Dollar shop and they are selling off their inventory for the season. Guess what I found for a quarter? A book about Twin Peaks.

The clerk had no idea what they were.

I called my brother and told him. He made a cherry pie while his wife ran out to get a copy. They plan on eating pie and drinking coffee while reading it tonight.
