the song threads are nominally interesting.

Have -no- interest in music.

I post lyrics and musical lyrics ARE poetry, not just sounds....

as an idea for a sub-forum

The only problem with that, is that we don't always know that it contains song lyrics until we click on it. I know, "just hit the back key", but with dial-up, it does take time and is annoying. If people would only put something in their subject line (like "Lyrics"), I would skip that post entirely. Same with YouTube. Why can't those posters just DO that??? It would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry if you were unable to figure it out or not comprehend.

I love music and love sharing it, in relation to life.

If you can't or don't like music, perhaps you should examine that....

some enjoy those threads. If you don't, ignore them but to put them down because you don't connect with the topic is unfair to others who do. just saying...

I've reached a few conclusions:
1) I have too much time on my hands.
2) Quit whining.

Droning a drowsy syncopated tune,
Rocking back and forth to a mellow croon,
I heard a Negro play.
Down on Lenox Avenue the other night
By the pale dull pallor of an old gas light
He did a lazy sway ....

With his ebony hands on each ivory key
He made that poor piano moan with melody.

In a deep song voice with a melancholy tone

Thump, thump, thump, went his foot on the floor.
He played a few chords then he sang some more--

And far into the night he crooned that tune.
The stars went out and so did the moon.
The singer stopped playing and went to bed
