1. It was my favorite until I discovered Charbay at BevMo
http://www.bevmo.com/productinfo.asp?sku=00000066120&Dn=166+168&Nr=Store%3A99&Ntt=charbay&N=168+0&Nty=1&D=charbay&Ntx=mode+matchallpartial&Ntk=All

96-100 PTS, TOP SPIRITS FOR 2003, WINE ENTHUSIAST. Subtle toasty, charcoal aromas; entry is off-dry to sweet and properly oily; sweet gaminess; aftertaste is long, bittersweet and delectably oily.

6. Meh
Good old Smirnoff for me. To heck with the vodka snobs...in blind taste test after blind taste test, Smirnoff always comes out on top. Why? Because vodka is supposed to be dry and tasteless. All of these specialty vodka's seem to want to infuse "flavors" and "aftertastes" into their drink, and in the process are forgetting what vodka is all about.

But when it comes right down to it, when I get home from work, I prefer my martini to be of the Churchill variety. A glass of gin, an olive, and a sideways glance at the vermouth bottle. My mother used to tell me that "vodka martini's are a sign of low breeding". A funny thing coming from a woman who worked as a waitress at the time, but it set a bias that I still hold to this day. Vodka martinis are yucky.

7. Word - I drink more vodka & tonics than anything else,
and I've occasionally tried the "high-line" vodkas in there. Never could tell a damn bit of difference...I'd just feel like I was pissing my hard-earned money away!
